BioConsult SH, mit Sitz in Husum an der Nordseeküste, ist ein interdisziplinäres Team aus Naturwissenschaftler:innen und bietet seit 1998 ökologische Forschung und Beratung auf höchstem Niveau.

Unser Fachbereich Remote Sensing verfügt über langjährige Erfahrung in der digitalen Flugerfassung zum Umweltmonitoring. Jetzt schlagen wir ein neues Kapitel auf: Neben der etablierten digitalen Flugdatenerfassung integrieren wir Langstreckendrohnen (fixed-wing UAS) in unsere Arbeitsabläufe. Diese ermöglichen ein effizientes, großflächiges Monitoring in marinen und küstennahen Ökosystemen. Zur Unterstützung dieses innovativen Vorhabens suchen wir eine:n engagierte:n Pilot:in für unbemannte Luftfahrzeuge (UAS) mit Spezialisierung auf Langstreckeneinsätze (ausschließlich ziviler Betrieb) im Umweltmonitoring.

Wir erwarten von Ihnen

• Nachgewiesene Erfahrung im Betrieb von (un)bemannten Luftfahrzeugen im zivilen Luftraum
• Bereitschaft zur Teilnahme an der verpflichtenden Pilotenschulung für die Primoco One-150 (mind. 5 Wochen) in Prag, Tschechische Republik
•   Reisebereitschaft, inkl. Einsätzen an Wochenenden (flexible Einsatzzeiten je nach Missionsplan)
•   Hohes Maß an Professionalität und Verantwortungsbewusstsein für sicheres Fliegen im zivilen Luftraum
•   Sprachkenntnisse: Deutsch und Englisch fließend (mind. ICAO Level 4)
•   Körperliche Belastbarkeit (30 kg eigenständig, 50 kg mit Hilfe)
•   Arbeitsstandort: Norddeutschland
• Führerschein der Klasse B

Von Vorteil sind

•   Gültiger EU-Drohnenführerschein (A1/A2/A3)
•   Abgeschlossene Ausbildung oder Studium im Bereich bemannte Luftfahrt oder Luftrecht
•   Erfahrung mit BVLOS-Einsätzen und SORA-Verfahren im europäischen Luftraum
•   Gültige Funklizenz (z. B. AZF, BZF, OR)
• Erfahrung im Umgang mit Luftfahrtbehörden (z. B. LBA)

BioConsult SH (www.bioconsult-sh.de) headquartered in Husum on the North Sea coast, is a team of scientists specializing in ecological research and consulting since 1998.
Our Remote Sensing Department has a strong track record in digital aerial surveys for environmental monitoring. We are now entering a new phase of innovation: alongside our established digital aerial environmental monitoring, we are integrating long-range fixed-wing UASs into our operations, enabling efficient and large-scale monitoring in marine and coastal ecosystems. To support this exciting development, we are looking for a dedicated and skilled Unmanned Aircraft Pilot (UAS Pilot) specializing in long-range operations for environmental monitoring (civil-only operations).

Your mission

•   Operating Primoco One-150 UAVs, including for digital monitoring flights (BVLOS)
•   Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, including SORA for BVLOS flights
•   Plan and execute flight missions in coastal and marine environments within the civilian airspace with related very high responsibility for safe operations
•   Serve as radio contact in controlled civilian airspace
• Coordinate with drone manufacturers, partners, and authorities

Your profile

Minimum Requirements
•   Proven experience operating aircrafts (manned/unmanned) in civilian airspace
•   Willingness to attend mandatory pilot training for Primoco One-150 UAV (minimum 5 weeks) in Prague, Czech Republic
•   Willingness to travel, including weekend operations (high flexibility in working hours depending on scheduled missions)
•   High professionality to ensure safe operations in civilian airspace
•   Conversational fluency in German and English (Proof of ICAO English Level 4 or higher)
•   Physical ability to lift 30 kg unaided or 50 kg with assistance
•   Base of operations will be in northern Germany
• Valid B-type driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications
•   Valid A1/A2/A3 drone certificate
•   Completed training or academic background in manned aviation or aviation law
•   Familiarity with BVLOS and SORA procedures within European airspace
•   Valid radio licence (e.g. AZF, BZF, OR)
• Experience with CAA communication (e.g. LBA)
